Job summary

Rain for Rent is seeking a Director of Corporate Development to drive strategic and transformation initiatives across the company. Reporting to the CFO, you will translate the Value Creation Plan into actionable programs with measurable outcomes and organizational alignment.

Based in Bakersfield, CA, this on-site leadership role partners with executive leadership to guide enterprise initiatives including M&A, operational improvement, and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of seven (7) years in business development, strategy, operations, or related field.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of the Value Creation Plan with structured initiatives, owners, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
• Partner with executives to align priorities and ensure effective execution of initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve organizational performance and support long-term growth.
• Develop and refine acquisition and divestiture strategy with evaluation and due diligence.
• Build a prioritized pipeline of potential acquisition targets with leaders.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools to measure progress and support decisions.
