Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across its industrial software and PLC portfolio in North America. You will shape market development plans, build a strong pipeline, and drive adoption through direct customer engagement and collaboration with sales teams, channel partners, OEMs, system integrators, and technology partners.

You will lead strategic opportunities, develop account plans, and expand software-led selling across PLC, edge, and automation offerings

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, Business, or related field.
8+ years in industrial automation or related tech markets with BD/sales success.
Experience with PLCs and industrial software ecosystems (HMI/SCADA, edge, data connectivity).

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the North America business development strategy for industrial software, visualization, edge, and PLC-related solutions.
Identify priority industries, applications, territories, and partner routes to market for orders growth.
Create and advance strategic opportunities by engaging customers early and coordinating resources across the sales cycle.
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline; support CRM practices, opportunity reviews, forecasting, and performance tracking.
