Job summary

Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel & Spa is seeking a dynamic Group Sales Manager to drive corporate and leisure group sales, build strong client relationships, and expand the hotel’s market share through proactive account management.

The role requires a polished sales professional capable of negotiating contracts, coordinating with events teams, and delivering exceptional service to groups while meeting revenue goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of hotel sales or related client-service experience.

Responsibilities

• Learn hotel brand and strategy to align sales activities.
• Drive loyalty and grow share of accounts through service excellence.
• Identify and solicit new accounts via telemarketing, meetings, and proposals.
• Negotiate contracts to meet revenue goals and objectives.
• Coordinate with events and catering teams to plan group programs.
• Prepare reports and participate in business and marketing planning.
• Maintain records of solicitations, closings, and customer communications.
