Job summary

Commonwealth is seeking a Grants Manager to support grant tracking, reporting, and proposal submission. You will work with the CEO, development and marketing staff, and partner organizations to ensure grant data is accurate and accessible for timely reporting.

The role involves maintaining systems for grant documentation, coordinating deadlines, and assisting with writing grants and reports. A background in administration, budgeting, and funding research is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in administrative work and project management; grant proposal preparation experience strongly preferred.
• Experience writing and/or editing grant proposals and reports.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to track and support multiple complex projects with flexibility and attention to detail.
• Proactive self-starter able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while collaborating with team members.
• Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with diverse staff.

Responsibilities

• Awarded grant tracking and reporting.
• Develop and maintain a database and system for grant proposals, awards, and data; create and share reports.
• Track grants through lifecycle; maintain deadlines and communications with partners.
• Gather input from project teams on grant progress for reporting.
• Support technical and financial reporting with senior leaders and accounting partner.
• Prospect research, grant proposal coordination and submission.
• Identify grant opportunities from corporations and foundations.
• Coordinate and submit grant proposals, reports, and collateral materials.
• Assist with crafting and writing grant proposals and reports as needed.
• Maintain a library of grant-writing collateral and funder requirements.
• Identify, research and track opportunities from government, private sector and foundations.
• Other general duties and project coordination.
• Support monthly project budget management for restricted funding and board reports.
• Coordinate projects with task management and follow-up.
• Collaborate to keep projects on track toward milestones and objectives.
• Contribute to a positive culture through collaboration and learning.
