Job summary

Baton Rouge Community College is seeking a motivated Grants Administrator to lead the development and administration of external grants, working with faculty and staff to align funding with strategic priorities.

The role involves researching opportunities, guiding investigators in proposal development, ensuring compliance, and managing the grant lifecycle from submission to reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 5–7 years related experience in Grant Writing and Grant Management.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership oversight for the development and administration of externally funded grants and the entire pre- and post-grant functions in support of BRCC’s strategic priorities.
• Build capacity among faculty and staff by providing training, newsletters, and other resources that empower grant pursuits.
• Research and identify external grant funding from federal, state, corporate, and private foundations.
• Collaborate with BRCC faculty and administration to design, write, edit and submit all grant proposals and budgets.
• Guide principal investigators through developing ideas into grant proposals to secure external funding.
• Maintain records of grant due dates, submissions, active projects, and funding sources.
• Develop, implement, and manage grant-related processes to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
• Build relationships with college leadership, faculty, staff, and funding agency staff.
• Explain federal/state guidelines to stakeholders implementing grants.
• Participate in continuous improvement and professional development.
• Perform other duties supporting BRCC’s mission.
