Job summary

Baton Rouge Community College is seeking a Grants Administrator to lead the development and administration of externally funded grants in alignment with BRCC’s priorities.

The role involves guiding investigators through proposal development, ensuring compliance, and managing the grant lifecycle from submission to reporting. The administrator will train faculty and staff and maintain strong relationships with funding agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience.
• Knowledge of grant writing, grant management, and reporting.
• Ability to navigate federal/state guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership oversight for development and administration of externally funded grants.
• Build capacity among faculty and staff through training and resources.
• Research and identify external grant opportunities from multiple sources.
• Collaborate to design, write, edit and submit grant proposals and budgets.
• Guide principal investigators in turning ideas into competitive grant proposals.
• Maintain records of grant due dates, submissions, and funding sources.
• Develop and manage internal project processes to ensure compliance with college/grant rules.
• Build relationships with college leadership, faculty, staff and funding agencies.
• Explain complex guidelines to stakeholders to ensure understanding of requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement and professional development.
• Perform other duties supporting BRCC’s mission.
