Job summary

Western Landowners Alliance seeks a Development professional to manage grant writing, prospecting, reporting, and relationship management with institutional funders. The role collaborates with executive leadership, program, and development teams to drive strategy for institutional giving.

Location is remote within the American West; compensation ranges from $75,000 to $90,000 annually, with a comprehensive benefits package. Target start date is immediate upon hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five years’ grant writing and management experience.
• Experience with government or environmental conservation funders.
• Knowledge of federal uniform guidance, budgets and match tracking.

Responsibilities

• Identify funding opportunities aligned with WLA priorities.
• Develop grant strategy addressing organizational needs and growth.
• Manage proposals, deadlines, and deliverables calendar.
• Lead donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship for institutional funders.
• Prepare grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports with program input.
• Coordinate with program and finance to develop grant budgets.
• Maintain donor profiles and provide data for communications.
