Job summary

Dream.Org is seeking a Director of Institutional Giving to drive grant writing and donor relationships from our Washington, D.C. or Bay Area offices, with hybrid work options.

You will manage a high-volume grant program, ensure reporting compliance, and lead development operations to grow foundation and corporate revenue. The role reports to the VP of Growth & Partnerships and requires in-person onboarding for 3–4 days within the first month.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of grant writing and institutional fundraising experience at a nonprofit.
• Proven track record securing six-figure grants from private or corporate foundations.
• Experience with revenue planning, forecasting, and KPI tracking in partnership with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee grant writing, reporting, and deadline management for 75+ submissions per year.
• Lead funder outreach, relationship management, and pipeline development.
• Coordinate proposal strategy, stewardship, and donor communications with program teams.
• Own Salesforce-based prospect tracking and reporting for leadership.
• Prepare senior leaders for donor meetings and five- to seven-figure opportunities.
