Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston is seeking a Grants Writer to oversee the development, writing, editing, and submission of foundation, corporate, and government grant applications and reports.

You will maintain grant records, research funding opportunities, coordinate with program staff and the grants team, and help manage budgets and donor databases, contributing to programs that support vulnerable communities across Houston.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2 years of professional writing or fundraising experience.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Lead process for grant applications and reports with program staff.
• Maintain active grants portfolio with grants director.
• Research new funding opportunities using Instrumentl, Foundation Directory Online.
• Attend meetings and share key information with grants team.
• Gather data and attachments from staff for applications.
• Assist in development of budgets for applications.
• Manage accounts and passwords for grant portals.
• Record grant activities in Instrumentl and Raiser's Edge.
• Maintain digital grant records on the department drive.
