Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston is seeking a Development & Events Associate to advance fundraising, donor engagement, and stewardship in partnership with senior leadership and a broad network of stakeholders.

The role plans and executes major events (Wine & Dine Gala, Caritas Mass & Brunch), manages logistics, donor communications, and sponsorships while supporting regional fundraising and reporting to the Senior Development Officer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2 years of fundraising, development, major donor relations, advancement, and/or special events experience.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute major fundraising events, including the Wine & Dine Gala and other initiatives.
• Manage event logistics: sponsorship tracking, invitations, guest management, registrations, vendors, volunteers, and on-site operations.
• Oversee donor recognition and stewardship events such as Caritas Mass & Brunch and Annual Meeting.
• Support regional fundraising and community engagement events in Galveston and Fort Bend counties.
• Maintain event calendars, budgets, expense reports, and documentation.
• Prepare event evaluations, donor reports, acknowledgments, and follow-up communications.
