City Kids Wilderness Project is seeking a detail-oriented Grants and Communications Manager in Washington, DC. The role combines grant writing, donor communications, and marketing content development to support a $2 million budget.

The GCM reports to the Director of Development and Communications and collaborates with program and administrative teams to tell CKWP's story to funders and the public.

Qualifications

• Flexible, entrepreneurial grant writer with proven success.
• Experience developing marketing materials for print, online, and social channels.
• Ability to translate program work into funder-friendly content.
• Masterful project management and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication, internally and externally.
• Ability to work across teams and levels with diplomacy.
• Detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of grant proposals and institutional giving content.
• Collaborate with the Director of Development and Communications and teams to craft compelling narratives.
• Coordinate moves management and donor communications for proposals.
• Serve as primary contact for institutional funders as needed.
• Ensure grant reporting and compliance, providing status updates to leadership.
• Develop organizational communications materials and external content.
