Job summary

Marquis Management, LLC is seeking a Strategic Grain Account Manager in Hennepin, Illinois, to oversee mass balance and certification across the grain supply chain. You will coordinate deliveries with elevators, ensure data integrity, and partner with the trading team on demand, sales, and shipments.

The role emphasizes communicating certification value, developing low‑carbon opportunities, and building strong supplier relationships while representing Marquis at industry forums.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of agriculture experience (e.g., grain merchandising, elevator operations, agronomy, ag lending, or farm management).
• Strong Excel skills, with the ability to turn supply chain data into clear insights for customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Sales, account management, or customer-facing communication experience; confident presenting to customers, suppliers, and industry groups.
• Team-oriented, with comfort working across departments.

Strategic Grain Account Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the mass balance of certified grain across the supply chain, from certified suppliers through international ethanol shipments.
• Optimize logistics by coordinating certified grain deliveries with all certified elevators.
• Ensure data integrity by managing monthly documentation of certified grain deliveries to all certified elevators.
• Partner with the ethanol trading team on certified product demand, sales, and shipments.
• Communicate the value of certification and CI to customers and support the development of low‑carbon sales opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with certified suppliers and elevators.
• Represent Marquis at industry conferences and meetings focused on carbon intensity, biofuels, and environmental stewardship.
• Lead internal and external strategy sessions to advance Marquis’s position on carbon intensity (CI) and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

Compensation & Benefits

The starting wage for this position is $50,000-$100,000 annually, with potential adjustments based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
