Job summary

Google is seeking a Global Commodity Manager in Sunnyvale to develop and execute strategic sourcing for Hard Disk Drives and Tape Storage, partnering with engineering to align roadmaps and optimize total cost of ownership. You will lead supplier negotiations, manage master agreements, and drive supplier performance across cost, quality and delivery for our hyperscale infrastructure.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
7 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.
Experience in HDD and Tape Storage category management and supplier development.

Responsibilities

Develop long term sourcing strategies for HDDs and Tape Storage.
Develop and manage master purchase agreements with suppliers.
Lead cross functional teams and maintain industry expertise and market conditions.
Manage supplier relationships focusing on cost, quality, delivery and technology alignment.
Interface with engineering for early engagement and roadmap alignment.
