Job summary

Google seeks a Commodity Manager to partner with Engineering and Infrastructure teams to secure NAND/SSD supplies for our data centers at scale. You will leverage industry knowledge and supplier networks to optimize total cost of ownership across Google’s global infrastructure.

You will develop sourcing strategies for NAND/SSD, maintain strategic supplier relationships, and drive cost efficiencies while balancing quality and delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent practical experience.
• 12 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.
• Experience in NAND commodity management (NAND technologies, SSD) and supplier management.
• Experience in industry analysis, cost modeling, quotation analysis, roadmap development, and supplier selection.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to drive SSD or NAND technologies at key NAND suppliers.
• Maintain industry knowledge and monitor supplier and market conditions.
• Develop sourcing strategies for NAND/SSD and execute on them.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance in technology alignment, cost, quality, and delivery; negotiate agreements and drive improvements.
• Address material management, shortages, and CTB activities between internal teams and NAND suppliers.
