Job summary

Normal Computing is seeking an Events & Conferences Specialist to share our AI hardware work with customers, talent, investors and industry leaders. You will join a scaling Communications and Marketing team, delivering Normal-hosted events and our participation in industry conferences and executive appearances.

Reporting to the Head of Communications, you will own hands-on delivery from approved event brief through on-site execution and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering conferences, events or live productions; 2–4 years or demonstrated capabilities.
• Operational judgment and independence; knows when to escalate.
• Proactive ownership and problem recovery.
• Presence to engage executives and speakers; negotiates changes.
• Production standards for mission-critical events and brand representation.
• Technical curiosity about Normal’s technology and event/demo requirements.
• Willingness to travel for team work and conferences.

Responsibilities

• Organize event operations: Maintain a central pipeline of owned and sponsored events, tracking schedules, staffing and production capacity and flagging resource conflicts.
• Manage vendors: Source event vendors, develop scopes and estimates, and track spending against budgets. Coordinate contracts with Finance and Legal.
• Produce collateral: Work with Design and production partners on booths, signage, presentations and branded materials.
• Execute onsite logistics: Arrange hardware deployments, setup and rehearsals; technical teams own demo content and readiness.
• Run on-site delivery: Drive setup, run-of-show and teardown. Keep crews and participants ready and solve problems on site.
• Represent Normal: Be an ambassador for Normal at conferences and events, engaging with key external partners and stakeholders.
• Manage event closeout: Hand relevant contacts, requests and conversation context to GTM, Talent or the appropriate team for follow-up.
