Job summary

Garmin Ltd. in the United States is seeking a full-time Lead Global Commodity Manager - Memory/Electrical to drive strategic sourcing plans across multiple sites. You will guide complex negotiations, analyze market trends, and manage supplier relationships to maximize value for the business.

You will lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior GCMs, and coordinate with NPI to ensure availability of parts for prototypes and production. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related Operations or Engineering field and 9+ years in managing commodities or an equivalent combination
• Requires extensive experience managing commodities with executive level relationships
• Must demonstrate strong verbal, written, negotiating and analytical skills
• Must manage multiple time zones and meet deadlines across sites
• Experience with ERP/MRPII and big data analysis in sourcing environments

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commodity strategies for electronic, electro-mechanical, and related products and services across multiple global sites
• Lead complex negotiations to improve cost, quality, and delivery while guiding cross-functional teams
• Mentor and lead Global Commodity Managers and drive multi-site sourcing activities
• Partner with NPI teams to ensure sourcing decisions meet commodity objectives for prototype builds
• Coordinate supplier evaluations, risk management, and quarterly business reviews
