Job summary

Prince Industries, founded near Chicago in 1959, is a global manufacturing partner with seven U.S. and China facilities. The Buyer will drive procurement processes, optimize supplier relationships, and support revenue growth through cost reductions and delivery reliability.

The role requires strong sourcing, experience with Epicor, and the ability to negotiate, generate reports, and coordinate with quality and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Associate's degree in Business or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Epicor purchasing processes preferred.
• Continuing education/certification in the manufacturing field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Secures and analyzes quotations; negotiates prices and terms with suppliers.
• Advances company sourcing programs and verifies specifications of purchase requests.
• Prepares and issues purchase orders; communicates changes to suppliers as needed.
• Evaluates supplier capabilities, logistics, and inventory for present and future material availability.
• Maintains procurement records and ensures material certs/test reports are kept.

Education

Bachelor's/Associate's degree in Business or Supply Chain Management

5-7 years in purchasing/procurement in manufacturing

Epicor purchasing experience

Continuing education/certification in manufacturing
