The role requires strong sourcing, experience with Epicor, and the ability to negotiate, generate reports, and coordinate with quality and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Associate's degree in Business or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Epicor purchasing processes preferred.
• Continuing education/certification in the manufacturing field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Secures and analyzes quotations; negotiates prices and terms with suppliers.
• Advances company sourcing programs and verifies specifications of purchase requests.
• Prepares and issues purchase orders; communicates changes to suppliers as needed.
• Evaluates supplier capabilities, logistics, and inventory for present and future material availability.
• Maintains procurement records and ensures material certs/test reports are kept.

Education

Bachelor's/Associate's degree in Business or Supply Chain Management

5-7 years in purchasing/procurement in manufacturing

Job Summary

TheBuyeris responsible for the processes and systems related to the servicing of Prince customers. Directs the delivery of administrative and operational assistance designed to promote revenue growth and business retention, productivity, and ensures consistent levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Secures and analyzes quotations; negotiates prices and terms with suppliers; and recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness
• Works to advance company sourcing programs
• Verifies nomenclature and specifications of purchase requests
• Estimates values according to knowledge of market price and best quantity in order to maximize savings value
• Prepares instructions collaborating with team regarding purchasing systems and procedures
• Prepares and issues purchase orders, change notices and sends copies to suppliers and notifies necessary department personnel if required delivery date cannot be met or if any changes are made to original purchase order
• Interviews and confers with current and prospective suppliers to evaluate supply capabilities, transportation logistics, inventory control, to determine present and future material availability
• Maintains accurate procurement records, such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery,product quality and performanceby inputting information in computer and/or maintaining records
• Ensuring receipts of material certs/test reports for all incoming materials and maintaining the records on network drives/ETQ
• Negotiates bids or purchasing contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority
• Expedites delivery of goods to Prince as required.
• Coordinates as appropriate quality matters and engineering changes/developments between company and suppliers
• Weekly reviews Vendor Open Order Report to expedite late product not received
• Confers with suppliers concerning late deliveries
• Maintains On-Time Delivery Performance Report for all suppliers according to quality certifications (i.e.,ISO, QS)
• Resolve invoicing discrepancy when needed working with the finance team and the supplier
• Initiate the corrective action request when appropriate not only when prompted by the quality departments
• Additional responsibilities as assigned
  
• Ability to generate reports and business correspondence as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively both in oral and written form and interact appropriately with vendors, and all levels of the company
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from vendors, customers, and co-workers as it applies to the job duties
• Excellent computer skills to effectively work with procurement related software, generate correspondences, perform data entry input etc
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills required to complete work assignments and prioritize urgent matters

Education and Experience

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business or Supply Chain Management related field preferred Or demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience
• 5-7 years of Work experience in purchasing, buying or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with purchasing processes through Epicor is strongly preferred.
• Continuing education, certification, or formal training desired in the manufacturing field

• Regularly required to walk or sit the duration of workday, 9 hours
• Frequently required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, reach, or bend
• Frequently required to perform repetitive hand movements when doing computer work or paperwork.

Compensation

$65,000 - $70,000 (based on experience)
