Electric Power Research Institute, Inc. in Charlotte, NC seeks an Assistant Controller to provide strategic accounting leadership for global operations, aligning US GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory requirements while partnering with Finance and international leadership.

This role leads close, reporting, intercompany accounting, controls, and treasury activities, drives process improvements, and mentors staff to build a resilient, insight-driven finance organization supporting EPRI's expanding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.
• Master’s degree, MBA, and/or CPA designation preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, finance, or financial analysis required.
• At least 6 years of experience managing staff in a global or multi-entity environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, analysis, and presentation of financial and business performance information for international operations.
• Partner with international leadership and US Finance teams on budgeting, forecasting, and regional initiatives.
• Evaluate US GAAP, IFRS, and tax implications of international initiatives and provide practical recommendations.
• Oversee international accounting close, reporting, reconciliations, and governance in compliance with EPRI requirements.
• Direct intercompany accounting and cross-border eliminations across global entities.
• Design, implement, and monitor internal controls over financial reporting and remediation efforts.
• Coordinate with auditors and tax advisors on compliance and process improvements.
• Lead treasury activities including cash forecasting for international entities.
