EPRI is seeking an Assistant Controller to provide strategic accounting leadership for its global operations including EPRI International, EPRI Europe, and Gulf regions. The role focuses on US GAAP, IFRS compliance, and statutory reporting while enabling scalable global accounting capabilities.
Reporting to the Controller, you will partner with Finance leaders, manage cross-border accounting, and drive process improvements, governance, and risk mitigation across multiple entities.

The Assistant Controller provides strategic accounting leadership and business partnership for EPRI’s global operations, which includes EPRI International, EPRI Europe, EPRI Gulf, and other non-US business activities as applicable. This role supports businesses and legal entities operating outside of the US while ensuring financial results are understood, recorded, reconciled, and reported in alignment with US GAAP, applicable IFRS and statutory requirements, local regulatory obligations, and EPRI policies. As a strategic partner to Finance and international business leadership, the position helps shape scalable global accounting capabilities, strengthens financial governance, and supports informed decision-making as EPRI expands its global footprint. The role advises on complex accounting, compliance, controls, treasury, tax, intercompany, and statutory matters, translating technical requirements into practical business solutions. Reporting to the Controller, the role exercises independent judgment in managing complex global accounting matters, identifying risk and process improvement opportunities, and helping build a more connected, resilient, and insight-driven global finance operating model.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.
Master’s degree, MBA, and/or CPA designation preferred.
At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, finance, or financial analysis required.
At least 6 years of experience managing staff required; experience leading accounting professionals in a complex global or multi-entity environment strongly preferred.
Experience supporting non-US business operations, legal entity reporting, statutory compliance, intercompany activity, and cross-border transactions preferred.
Experience working within not-for-profit organizations, government-funded environments, utility-related industries, or project-based organizations desirable.
Required Knowledge and Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles, including the ability to apply US GAAP to international operations and legal entities.
Knowledge of IFRS, international accounting practices, statutory reporting, local regulatory compliance requirements, foreign currency, and intercompany accounting.
Comprehensive understanding of corporate and operational accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Knowledge of internal controls, governance, risk management, and audit requirements.
Familiarity with government-funded accounting environments, indirect cost structures, and proposal/reporting requirements preferred.
Advanced proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred), financial reporting systems, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

The base salary range EPRI reasonable expects to offer for this role at the time of posting is €115 to €130 per year. The salary offered to the successful candidate will be determined using objective, gender-neutral and role-related criteria, which may include relevant skills and experience, qualifications or equivalent experience where applicable, level of responsibility, work location, pay equity considerations, market factors, and role-related business needs.
