Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sourcing Specialist for Gas Turbine Power to develop and manage strategic procurement for critical propulsion and test hardware. You will lead cost-reduction programs, negotiate with OEMs, and ensure supplier performance aligns with SpaceX’s ambitious timelines and safety standards.

The role requires technical procurement experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across production, test, and launch activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years in purchasing, contract negotiation, operations or supply chain management.
• Experience with gas turbine procurement and capital projects is preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings and quality documents.
• Proven leadership and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create sourcing strategies for assigned categories to reduce risk and meet targets.
• Develop strategic sourcing models and drive cost reduction programs.
• Present to decision makers on launch critical events.
• Manage contracts and ensure supplier performance against obligations.
• Drive year-over-year cost optimization and supplier KPIs.
• Coordinate with engineering, facilities, and launch stakeholders.
• Lead efforts to reduce transactions and optimize procurement processes.
