Black Voters Matter is seeking a Development Director to lead the development team from Atlanta, GA with remote flexibility. The role focuses on growing the donor base, managing major gifts, and institutional grants to support BVM’s mission for racial justice and power building.

The position requires 8+ years in executive fundraising, strong writing and presentation skills, and a donor-centric approach. Salary is $165,000–$185,000 with comprehensive benefits and travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• 8 years of executive fundraising and development leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Knowledge of donor databases and donor tracking.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Mail Merge.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative team.
• Excellent writing and communications skills.
• Commitment to progressive causes.
• Donor-centered customer service approach.
• Strong presenting skills and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Lead national and state fundraising strategies and campaigns.
• Oversee major gifts system and donor relationships.
• Manage institutional giving programs and grant submissions.
• Collaborate on messaging across platforms for fundraising campaigns.
• Ensure timely, high-quality grant reporting and budgets.
• Oversee development staff hiring and supervision.
• Provide training on fundraising and donor cultivation.
