Goodwill Industries of the Summit in Charleston, WV seeks a Director of Fund Development to build donor relationships, manage grant proposals, and lead internal/external fundraising efforts. The role focuses on developing strategies for individual and major gifts, and coordinating events that support fundraising objectives.

This leadership position requires strong communication, grant-writing skills, and the ability to work with leadership to advance programmatic funding and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with related experience in development or fundraising.
• Proven ability to plan and manage donor cultivation and relationships.
• Experience with grant proposals and fundraising communications.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmental strategies on individual, current, and prospective donors.
• Develop systems for prospect management, cultivation, evaluation, and reporting for gifts.
• Assist the VP of Communications with community outreach and fundraising events.
