Job summary

UPS is seeking a Finance & Accounting Special Projects Data Analytics Supervisor to support and maintain finance and project processes for mergers and acquisitions. You will extract financial data, build dashboards, and assist in budgeting and GAAP-compliant reporting, collaborating with teams globally in a hybrid setting.

The role requires strong data analysis, financial modeling, and communication skills, with experience in Alteryx, Oracle Cloud, and Excel.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable) in Accounting or Finance preferred.
Experience with SEC filing and reporting desired.
Experience with data analysis and project management tools strongly preferred.
Experience working in a Public Accounting Firm desired.
Experience with unique and challenging accounting projects preferred.

Responsibilities

Apply problem solving and domain finance knowledge for insights and process simplification.
Clear writing and communication skills to senior audiences for data analysis and exploration of new ideas.
Create data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using data relationships.
Assist with diligence to identify inorganic growth opportunities and analyze target companies.
Evaluate business plans and synergy estimates for databooks to support discussions.
Maintain organized records and project files for the broader team.
Calculate deal-specific financial metrics to assess valuation adequacy.
Prepare executive overviews describing transaction and valuation fundamentals.
