Job summary

AlertMedia seeks an FP&A Manager to own financial planning and forecasting end-to-end, reporting to the VP, FP&A and guiding performance narratives with business partners. The role emphasizes technical modeling, scenario analysis, and clear storytelling around financial results.

You bring 5+ years in FP&A, expert Excel modeling, and experience with Claude AI. This hybrid role in Austin offers meaningful impact and growth within a fast-moving, PE-backed SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years owning financial planning and forecasting end-to-end.
• Expert-level Excel modeling to build scalable financial models from scratch.
• Hands-on experience using Claude or similar AI tools to augment financial modeling, reporting, and presentation work.
• Strong SaaS financial acumen: ARR modeling, churn dynamics, cohort analysis, unit economics.
• Experience with NetSuite or demonstrated ability to rapidly master financial systems.
• SQL familiarity is a plus.
• Ability to translate data into clear narratives and insights.

Responsibilities

• Own revenue forecasting methodology and drive monthly reforecasting cycles.
• Build and maintain annual operating plan (AOP) financial models and consolidate departmental expense submissions.
• Model headcount planning and operating expense plans across departments.
• Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to stress-test business drivers.
• Deliver detailed monthly budget-to-actual variance analysis with root-cause narratives.
• Partner with business leaders to understand drivers and provide targeted analytics support.
• Lead drafting of board reporting materials with financial narratives and charts.
• Partner with Accounting to support timely and accurate financial close.
