Job summary

Cengage Group, a global edtech company, is seeking a Manager, Corporate FP&A to support corporate reporting and forecasting. You will lead analyses, build models, and develop projections to guide strategic investments and M&A activity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years’ experience in FP&A, private equity, or a similar role.
• Knowledge of financial statements - Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow.
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Ad hoc analyses based on corporate initiatives requiring in-depth spend and transformation understanding.
• Builds and maintains models to support long-term decisions and P/L impact.
• Develops financial projections for planning and investment decisions including proforma M&A activity.
• Assists in budgeting and forecasting decks for executive discussions.
• Collaborates with FP&A team members to lead budgeting, forecasting, and driver analysis.
• Identifies efficiency opportunities based on business unit economics.
• Proactively identifies insights in performance trends and provides analysis.
• Streamlines planning and reporting processes including AI-enabled tools.
• Supports external investor presentations and data requirements.
