Job summary

Conviva is seeking a Strategic FP&A Manager to set the bar for financial AI acumen and planning discipline. This role reports to the Head of Finance and is based in Foster City, CA.

You will own the planning stack end to end, partner with leaders, and drive insights for growth and efficiency. In a fast-paced environment, you will build board-ready reporting, manage annual plans and forecasts, and lead month-end close with variance analysis and strategic commentary.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in strategic finance / FP&A with impact
• Ownership of planning / reporting platform end-to-end
• Experience using AI tools while maintaining accuracy
• Hands-on SaaS/B2B FP&A: ARR/NRR, deferred revenue, retention
• Advanced Excel and SQL or BI tools; NetSuite experience
• Strong business partnership with GMs / leaders, independent in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

• Own our financial planning and reporting stack end to end (implementation, model architecture, integrations, permissions, and ongoing admin).
• Use AI tools to compress analysis, modeling, and commentary while preserving accuracy.
• Partner with functional leaders on headcount, capacity, pipeline, and investments; challenge assumptions.
• Own the annual operating plan, forecasts, and scenario models used by leadership.
• Build and maintain board, executive, and departmental reporting (ARR, retention, gross margin, burn).
• Lead month-end FP&A close: variance analysis, commentary, and flash reporting.
• Build and re-engineer processes with automation to reduce spreadsheet grind and improve decisions.
• Support corporate finance activities: fundraising, board materials, investor relations, and ad-hoc analysis
