Job summary

STR is seeking an innovative and strategic financial leader to serve as Sr. Manager of FP&A in Woburn, MA.

You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, rate development, investment analysis, and incentives, while driving AI and analytics transformations across finance. Reporting to the Director of FP&A, you will partner with division leads to deliver investor-grade insights, ensure governance, and enable scalable growth in a regulated, high-growth environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field required.
MBA or Master’s preferred.
Minimum 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience in defense contracting (as stated).
Experience supporting external audits and government compliance (DCAA/DFARS).
Familiarity with SOX, SEC reporting, and board governance.

Responsibilities

Shape the future of the finance function with best-in-class processes and automation.
Champion AI and ML techniques to improve forecasting, scenario modeling, and data-driven decisions.
Oversee annual operating plans, monthly forecasts, and long-range planning with aligned objectives.
Develop and refine rate strategies to ensure compliant, forward-looking cost structures.
Lead financial analysis for R&D, capital investments, and incentives; partner with HR on incentive plans.
Design and implement enterprise KPIs and investor-grade financial metrics.
Prepare executive-level presentations and board-ready financial insights.
Establish and maintain strong financial controls and governance for audits.
