Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an exceptional finance leader to join our senior Finance leadership team.

Reporting to the Director of Group Finance, you will lead the full cycle of Group financial planning and reporting, including annual and medium-term plans, budget setting, Trust wide monthly reporting for internal and external stakeholders and the National Cost Collection.

Qualifications

• CCAB qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience in financial leadership roles.
• Masters in financial or business discipline or equivalent experience and training.
• Evidence of recent CPD including specialist training and experience relating to NHS finance as well as national accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Turn complex financial information into clear insight and lead through change.
• Provide information for Executive Directors and the Board on financial performance and savings delivery.
• Lead Costing and Financial Planning and Reporting teams with strong controls and continuous improvement.
