Job summary

MacKay, a leading infrastructure and environmental services firm, seeks a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist in Vancouver, WA. The role drives budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, partnering with leaders to steer growth and capital decisions.

You will develop models, present insights to the CFO/CEO and Board, and influence strategy across Operations, Sales, HR, and Marketing. A strategic, data-driven finance leader with strong Excel and FP&A tool experience is ideal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 5–10 years of progressive FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, or corporate finance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead FP&A initiatives and partner with leadership to drive business strategy, financial performance, and long-term growth.
• Excellent financial analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
• Advanced Excel and FP&A tools experience (Vareto/Workday).

Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities with business leaders.
• Prepare timely financial statements, KPIs, and dashboards for executive leadership.
• Deliver clear financial presentations for the CFO, CEO, Partners, and Board of Directors.
• Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts; identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models for growth initiatives, acquisitions, and investments.
• Act as a trusted financial advisor to leaders across departments.
• Collaborate to align financial objectives with business strategy and planning.
• Provide data-driven insights to enable decision-making and optimize resources.
• Continuously improve planning, reporting, and forecasting processes through technology.
