Mitchell Distributing is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst in Ladson, SC. The role goes beyond reporting numbers; you will build models, identify drivers, and turn data into business insight to guide leadership decisions.

You'll collaborate with leaders across the organization on budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, acquisitions, and operational decisions to drive value and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or related area.
• Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis skills.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, journal entries, accruals, and the month-end close process.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25% based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead key components of budgeting, forecasting, and annual operating planning.
• Build financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases for acquisitions, investments, operational changes, labor and benefits costs, and other initiatives.
• Analyze results against budget, forecast, and prior year to identify key drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Partner with department leaders to manage budgets, forecast results, and support financial decision-making.
• Prepare pro forma financial analyses for potential acquisitions and other strategic opportunities.
• Review financial results for accuracy and reasonableness, identifying missing or unusual items and appropriate accruals.
• Prepare journal entries as needed and partner with Accounting to resolve questions or discrepancies.
• Turn complex financial information into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.
