Mitchell Companies is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in Ladson, SC to move beyond basic reporting and provide business-driven insights. You will partner with leaders across the organization on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning to support decisions that affect growth and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or a related area.
• Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis skills.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, journal entries, accruals, and the month-end close process.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25% based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and annual operating planning.
• Build financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases for acquisitions, investments, and operational changes.
• Analyze results against budget, forecast, and prior year to identify drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Partner with department leaders to manage budgets, forecast results, and support financial decision-making.
• Prepare pro forma financial analyses for potential acquisitions and other strategic opportunities.
• Review financial results for accuracy and reasonableness, identifying missing or unusual items and accruals.
• Prepare journal entries as needed and resolve questions or discrepancies with Accounting.
• Turn complex financial information into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.
