Job summary

Metric Search is partnering with a leading global investment manager to add an Associate to a strategic finance team in New York. The role blends FP&A, modeling and analytics, with exposure to senior leaders to drive strategic and financial decisions.

Responsibilities include building models, analyzing drivers, developing scenario analyses and delivering insights from large datasets. Collaboration across teams and automation of processes are key focus areas for ongoing efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, financial analysis or a similarly analytical finance role.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis or scenario modeling.
• Comfortable analyzing large datasets and translating findings into clear business insights.
• Strong Excel skills, with exposure to data visualization, automation or coding tools beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with senior stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another analytical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models supporting forecasts, budgets and longer-term planning.
• Analyze revenue, expenses and broader business performance to understand key financial drivers.
• Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses around business performance and strategic initiatives.
• Prepare financial analysis and reporting for senior stakeholders.
• Work with large financial and operational datasets to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Partner with teams across the organization on strategic and ad hoc financial analysis.
• Improve existing models, reporting processes and analytical tools through automation and standardization.
