Job summary

Varo Bank is seeking a Finance Analyst to join our team in Salt Lake City. You will be a strategic finance partner, building sophisticated models and turning data into actionable insights that guide executive decisions.

You will collaborate with Product, Technology, Lending, and Marketing to optimize performance, forecast revenue and expenses, and support new product initiatives. A strong background in GAAP, budgeting, and financial modeling is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive finance experience in banking, fintech, or financial services.
• Strong foundation in financial theory, strategic forecasting, budgeting, and GAAP.
• Advanced financial modeling using Excel or Sheets; proven track record.

Responsibilities

• Lead forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Analyze unit economics and guide investments for new product launches.
• Provide monthly/quarterly performance analyses and synthesize insights for leadership.
• Automate KPI reporting and create concise executive narratives for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Accounting and FP&A tools to optimize month-end close and financial systems.
