Job summary

UN Women seeks a seasoned Strategic Partnerships Lead to drive the Strategy on Institutional Foundations and Philanthropies. You will translate priorities into workplans, advise senior leadership, and manage a diversified global portfolio of foundations and philanthropic actors.

You will build capacity, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure credible, costed propositions for multi-year funding, advancing UN Women’s Strategic Plan 2026-2029.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in strategic partnerships and resource mobilization.
• Experience developing and managing partnerships with institutional foundations and philanthropic organizations.
• Experience advising senior management and coordinating cross-functional partnership processes.
• Experience leading innovative partnership or resource mobilization strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of the Institutional Foundations and Philanthropies Strategy.
• Provide strategic leadership for Strategy on Partnerships with Institutional Philanthropic Foundations 2026–2029.
• Advise senior leadership on philanthropic market trends, portfolio choices, and risks.
• Set and adjust portfolio priorities and allocate resources across the organization.
• Establish and monitor portfolio performance indicators and conduct reviews.
• Develop and manage a strategic portfolio for priority institutional relationships.

Master’s degree or equivalent in international relations, public policy, development studies, business administration, philanthropy, social sciences or a related field

First-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of advanced degree
