Job summary

UN Women is seeking a Foundations and Institutional Philanthropy Advisor to lead the implementation of the 2026–2029 Strategy. The role shapes fundable offers, builds a global foundations pipeline and coordinates cross-functional teams to secure multi-year, scalable funding.

English fluency is required, with experience at the international level highly valued. The advisor collaborates with Headquarters, Regional, Country and Liaison Offices, strengthening governance, accountability and learning

Qualifications

• 10+ years in strategic partnerships, fundraising or philanthropy.
• Experience with institutional foundations and funding relationships.
• Experience advising senior management and coordinating cross-functional processes.
• Experience leading partnership pipelines and stewardship.
• UN system experience desirable.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of the Institutional Foundations and Philanthropies Strategy.
• Advise senior leadership on philanthropic market trends, portfolio choices, investment needs, risks and opportunities.
• Build, qualify and manage a diversified global pipeline of institutional foundations and philanthropic actors.
• Coordinate outreach, senior leadership engagement, partner meetings and follow-up across the partnership lifecycle.
• Represent UN Women in philanthropic forums, networks and strategic engagements.
