Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, or buying experience.
• Restaurant, hospitality, food service, or food distribution purchasing experience required.
• Knowledge of food products, suppliers, inventory management, and purchasing practices.
• Experience comparing vendor pricing and negotiating purchasing terms.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing needs across restaurant, market, prepared foods, and catering operations.
• Source and evaluate vendors based on product quality, pricing, availability, and reliability.
• Request quotes, negotiate pricing, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare, process, and track purchase orders.
• Maintain vendor relationships, pricing records, and product specifications.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, availability, and product quality.
• Review invoices and resolve purchasing or delivery discrepancies.
• Monitor purchasing costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and control expenses.
• Work with culinary leadership to meet operational purchasing needs.
