Job summary

PrimeSource Building Products, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Fleet Operations Leader to guide the Stockton distribution center. You will drive safety, efficiency, and cost control while aligning with Wolf Logistics and other stakeholders.

This role blends strategic oversight with hands-on management, focusing on process improvements, equipment optimization, standardized procedures, and talent development to meet performance targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 8+ years of progressive leadership in fleet management, distribution, or supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations, warehouse operations, and process improvement methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead multiple locations and large cross-functional teams.
• Experience with P&L management and budgetary processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or KT problem-solving preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily fleet operations to achieve performance targets in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and talent.
• Utilize scorecards, KPIs, and performance reviews to drive accountability and improvement.
• Foster a safety-first culture across all distribution center teams.
• Form strong relationships across functional divisions to promote cooperation.
• Manage the daily operations and oversight of the fleet and driver managers.
• Assess equipment needs and develop specifications to meet distribution demands.
• Collaborate with vendors to procure and maintain fleet assets.
• Ensure full compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations and company policies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and standardization across sites.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to implement rapid, sustainable operational changes.
• Support financial and strategic goals set by senior leadership.
• Promote continuous learning, safety awareness, and talent readiness.
