Job summary

Premier Truck Rental (PTR) is seeking an experienced Inventory Planner to oversee planning, sourcing, and procurement of trucks, chassis, and passenger vehicles to meet fleet demand. The role requires managing supplier relationships, negotiating terms, analyzing data, and aligning purchasing with operational and financial goals.

The position is on-site in Fort Worth, TX with a base salary and the opportunity for quarterly profit sharing after one year.

Qualifications

• MUST have 5+ years in automotive purchasing or equivalent.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management experience.
• Excellent analytical and time-management skills.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP/Procurement tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze fleet growth, order timing, and replacement cycles to guide purchases.
• Evaluate OEM terms and quotes to optimize purchasing mix.
• Process purchase orders from placement to delivery.
• Coordinate with Fleet and Operations on asset movements.
• Maintain supplier relationships and resolve issues affecting lead times.
• Ensure accurate master data in ERP and fleet systems.
