Job summary

Premier Truck Rental, based on-site in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking an Inventory Planner to buy trucks, chassis, and passenger vehicles. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and analyze data to align acquisitions with operations and finance goals.

Collaboration with operations, sales, fleet, and finance is essential to balance availability and costs. The role emphasizes supplier management, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional teamwork to drive procurement

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in automotive purchasing or equivalent related experience.
• Strong knowledge of the automotive industry.
• Excellent negotiation skills with demonstrated success.
• Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and supplier performance.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Purchases and Negotiation: analyze fleet growth, order bank timing, allocation availability, financial goals, and replacement cycles to recommend purchases.
• Coordination and Tracking: plan and coordinate asset movement; monitor OEM allocations and delivery timelines.
• Supplier Management: establish relationships with manufacturers and dealers; resolve issues and price discrepancies.
• Master Data Management and Auditing: maintain procurement records; support decision-making with data analysis.
• Relationship Building: communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders; manage expectations and delays.
• Attention to Detail and Customer Service: ensure equipment meets specs; provide excellent service.
