Job summary

Premier Truck Rental (PTR) is seeking an accomplished executive to lead fleet, supply chain, and logistics on a nationwide scale. The VP will guide strategy, procurement, and operations, balancing asset utilization with cost control to deliver superior service.

The role requires deep regulatory knowledge, a track record of multi-site leadership, and a focus on continuous improvement. Fort Wayne, IN, and Fort Worth, TX will be primary locations with significant travel.

Qualifications

• Must have 15+ years of leadership in supply chain, logistics, transportation, fleet management, or related operations.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field; MBA or professional certs preferred.
• Proven success leading multi-site transportation, fleet, and supply chain operations with strong financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute PTR’s fleet, supply chain, procurement, and logistics strategy.
• Lead end-to-end supply chain operations including sourcing, inventory, warehousing, and fleet management.
• Oversee transportation networks, fleet utilization, routing, and cost optimization.
• Establish KPIs for safety, fleet efficiency, inventory turns, freight costs, and on-time delivery.
• Manage supplier, carrier, and 3PL relationships to ensure cost-effective service.
• Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Finance, and Field leadership on demand planning and capacity.
• Drive Lean, tech adoption, analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and environmental standards.
• Develop and manage operating and capital budgets; identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Build and lead high-performing teams with a culture of accountability and safety.
