Job summary

The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) seeks a Manager of Fiscal Systems to establish policies for IT systems that support financial reporting. The role develops training programs, coordinates system development with DoIT and stakeholders, and manages security access for fiscal systems.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in business analysis, process mapping, and end-user security, with relevant SAP experience and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requires four years of professional experience in public or business administration implementing fiscal practices and policies.
• Requires three years’ experience with general accounting principles, financial reporting, or related fiscal field.
• Requires two years’ experience using SAP or similar accounting system.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and administers management information systems and business process improvement activities.
• Serves as liaison between Fiscal Operations, DoIT, vendors, and system users to coordinate system development and improvements.
• Administers enterprise security and governance for fiscal systems ensuring data integrity and access controls.
• Develops and delivers agency training, system documentation, and management reporting for fiscal information systems.
• Performs other duties within the scope of fiscal operations systems.
