Job summary

The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) is seeking a Manager of Fiscal Systems to establish policies and procedures for using information technology systems that support financial reporting. The role will develop training programs for fiscal-related systems, engage with stakeholders, and administer security access functions.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and IT skills, with experience in business analysis and process mapping, and a proven ability

Qualifications

Four years of professional experience in public or business administration implementing fiscal practices and policies.
Three years’ experience with general accounting principles, financial reporting, grant management, or related fiscal field.
Two years’ experience using SAP or similar accounting system.
Two years’ experience providing technical IT training, including delivering technical support and managing system access for software used in fiscal operations.

Responsibilities

Pl an, direct, and administer management information systems for fiscal operations.
Coordinate MIS development with DoIT, vendors, and system users.
Administer enterprise security and governance for fiscal systems.
Develop and administer agency training, system documentation, and management reporting.
Perform duties within the scope of the enumerated responsibilities.
