Job summary

Wakefern Food Corp. is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including consolidated statements and management analysis. The role partners with multiple divisions to ensure accurate reporting and strong internal controls.

Responsibilities include driving the close process, audits, and finance transformation initiatives. A CPA and 5+ years in accounting are required, with a focus on accuracy and leadership in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification is required.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Detail oriented accounting professional with minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Self-starter who can follow through on commitments and projects with minimal oversight.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of accounting theory, financial systems (retail and wholesale), computerized systems and control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting process.
• Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Review and analyze financial results, account balances, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Coordinate the preparation of management reporting packages and financial analysis.
• Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting policies.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Coordinate audits with external auditors and respond to inquiries.
• Develop and mentor financial reporting staff and drive process improvements.
• Lead automation and ERP upgrade initiatives supporting the finance transformation.
