Job summary

Rochester Institute of Technology seeks an experienced financial leader to provide strategic leadership for the College of Science. You will oversee budgeting, planning, payroll, compliance, and campus partnerships to support academic and research priorities.

You will partner with Sponsored Programs Accounting and post‑award grant management while advising department leadership and the Dean on resource stewardship and operational decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• 5 years of relevant experience in financial leadership or accounting roles.
• Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Designs and presents financial information for leadership decision making.
• Maintains forecasting and complex reconciliations across the organization.
• Prepares cost models using GL, registrar, student services and asset data.
• Ensures compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Develops annual operating budgets based on salaries and initiatives.
• Prepares ad hoc and standard management reports for stakeholders.
• Other duties as assigned.
