Job summary

Bizzell Group is seeking a Financial Controller to lead all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. The role will train and develop the Corporate and Divisional Accounting staff and provide strategic recommendations to the Executive Team on improving financial and operational efficiency.

The position reports to the COO and requires deep knowledge of government contract regulations (FAR/CAS) and strong collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Accounting designation (CMA, CGA, CPA), or an equivalent combination of related experience and education.
• Minimum 10 years’ accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role with at least five (5) years of experience working with federal government contract regulations (FAR / CAS).

Responsibilities

• Assist the COO in establishing and enforcing accounting policies and financial controls.
• Ensure compliance with regulations (FAR, DCAA) related to accounting and financial management.
• Monitor financial performance and provide ad hoc reports to the COO.
• Present monthly financial metrics, reports and revenue forecasts to the Executive Leadership Team.
• Formulate monthly and annual operational budgets for all divisions, departments and projects.
• Provide leadership and guidance to corporate finance staff (payables, receivables, payroll).
• Coordinate with Travel Administrator to update travel guidelines and procedures.
• Coordinate with Divisional Finance Directors on updates and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate with Divisional HR on employee compensation.
• Serve as primary contact for corporate tax preparation and audits (DCAA).
• Perform other duties as assigned
