Job summary

Dairyland Power Cooperative is seeking a Financial Analyst III to lead complex financial analyses and support strategic planning. The role requires deep financial knowledge, strong modeling skills, and experience with Power BI and budgeting processes.

The position emphasizes KPI development, strategic insights for senior management, and compliance with financial policies. A Master’s degree is preferred and five years of related experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field required, master’s degree preferred.
• Five (5) years of experience in a position in a finance, economic or accounting function required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Exceptional analytical abilities and effective listening, verbal, written communication skills are required.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles required.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and presentation skills also required.
• Must have demonstrated experience with Power BI.
• Experience in transmission rate analysis and comparative analysis of proposals for financing, constructing, owning, and operating high-voltage transmission lines and/or substations preferred.
• Familiarity with MISO Attachment O/GG/MM processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management. Participate in and lead special projects and initiatives.
• Conduct transmission rate analysis, and preparation of complex financial reports.
• Develop sophisticated financial analysis and modeling.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning.
• Complete MISO Attachment O/GG/MM processes.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies, regulatory requirements, and commercial commitments.
• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
