Job summary

BlueScope in Kalama, WA seeks a Financial Analyst I to join our Finance & Accounting team. You will translate business objectives into financial plans, analyze results, and support monthly close and budgeting processes.

You will collaborate with leadership to drive cost optimization, ensure accuracy of reports, and maintain controls across plant sites in a fast-paced environment. This is a hybrid role with onsite presence in Kalama, WA, and quarterly reviews and KPI tracking involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• 3 years of accounting experience with emphasis in financial analysis.
• ERP experience; SAP preferred.
• 1 year experience working with an ERP system.
• MBA, CPA or cost accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely financial information and analysis for actual, forecast and budget results.
• Prepare budgets, business plans and performance reports for leadership.
• Manage product costing and inventory valuation across plant sites.
• Support monthly close and communicate key results to leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting quality.
• Assist with material for monthly business reviews and board discussions.
