Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide financial and analytical support to senior management and logistics leadership. The role involves month-end close activities, cost and productivity initiatives, and robust FP&A to drive branch performance.

The incumbent will train business unit staff, ensure SOX compliance, and coordinate with Shared Services and Corporate Accounting. Requires a related bachelor's degree; MBA preferred, 2–4 years in corporate finance, 5+ years

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• MBA preferred.
• 2–4 years in corporate finance in a Fortune 500 company or consulting firm required.
• 5+ years post MBA preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office at an intermediate level required.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Closing: journal entries, variance explanations, GL research for billing opportunities.
• Operational Initiatives: identify cost/productivity improvements with DOO, DOS and DOR.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: forecasting, business planning, branch performance analysis.
• Training: provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies and tools.
• Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance: conduct branch audits to ensure compliance.
• Corporate: liaison with Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting.
