Job summary

Lake Michigan Credit Union is seeking a Financial Advisor to provide comprehensive financial planning, investment, and insurance solutions that help members achieve their short-term and long-term financial goals. This role partners with branch teams to grow the book of business and deepen member relationships.

You will evaluate members’ financial situations, recommend suitable investment and insurance solutions, and conduct ongoing planning discussions to ensure aligned strategies.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of financial advisory, wealth management, or related financial services experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Active FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses required.
• Series 65 or 66 license required.
• Life and Health Insurance licenses required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive financial planning services to members using a goals-based advisory approach.
• Evaluate member financial situations to develop personalized financial strategies.
• Recommend investment and insurance solutions aligned with goals and risk tolerance.
• Conduct portfolio reviews and ongoing financial planning discussions.
• Educate members on investment principles, retirement planning, and wealth management.
